Saying goodbye to Prague

Saying goodbye to Prague

Amidst political cynicism and economic fragility, Prague continues to be one of the most beautiful, and most beautifully ornamented cities anywhere in Europe. Even the train station (which is otherwise just what you’d expect), has a beautiful rotunda. I said farewell to Prague and boarded my train back to Vienna feeling grateful for the hospitality I received here, quite sorry that I only got to experience it in such miserable weather and with a bad cold, and I hope to return again soon of a late spring or summer to truly experience the glories of the city in full bloom. I wish my new friends and colleagues all the best as they continue to hold up a beacon of hope in this battered country.
