View from my classroom at the University of Vienna!

I met with my class for the first time yesterday. I am teaching a seminar as part of my Fulbright grant, entitled “Freud, Religion, and Psychoanalysis: Critiques and Counter-Critiques.” A wonderful interdisciplinary group of students from Austria and beyond, representing psychology, theology, yes, but also science and political science fields and others. The class meets in a newly renovated building on Schenkenstrasse, in a small warren of streets a few blocks from the old medieval university buiding. The views from the 6th floor are wonderful – hopefully they will give us wider horizons as we approach our intellectual discussions together!
