Vineyard in the Wachau

Vineyard in the Wachau

Beautiful landscape all around the Wachau. Not only is the region home to wonderful vineyards, but the entire region is known for its prehistoric artifacts – including the famous “Venus of Willendorf,” which I hope to visit in the Natural History Museum in due course. It is considered a sacred region to this day among pagan groups, and has a long history as a “thin place.” Although much larger, it reminded me quite a bit of the beauty of our orchards and hillsides in Orrtanna, PA!
